Speedarena Go Kart Bahn in Rechnitz

In Rechnitz, in the south of Burgenland, the Speedarena lays out an open-air karting track of one thousand and seven metres, eight to ten metres wide, which can hold up to thirty-four drivers at once. The venue bills itself as the most modern rental track in Austria and runs sport karts open to all, from the Sunday driver to the speed lover. Enough to drive fast and long on one of the largest layouts in the east of the country.

The length and width of the track make it a real racing ground, where you have time to find your feet and try overtakes. Open from March to November, more widely in summer, it hosts individual driving and group events alike, for ten to two hundred people. It is an easy-going sporting outing, in a large activity park.

Rechnitz lies on the Hungarian border, at the foot of the Geschriebenstein, the highest peak of Burgenland, in a region of wooded hills and quiet villages. The green, peaceful area is known for its spas and its hiking trails. The Speedarena adds a dose of open-air motorsport, welcome for an active outing in this little-visited part of Austria. With its great width and its capacity of thirty-four karts, the Speedarena lends itself to wild races among friends and to large corporate events alike, and its position in southern Burgenland, on the Hungarian border, makes it an easy stop for visitors from both countries after speed.
