About

In Pachfurth, half an hour from Vienna, the Speedworld lays out one of the largest karting complexes in Austria. The main track, homologated by the FIA, measures one thousand one hundred and eighty metres, doubled by a separate rental track of five hundred and eighty metres. You drive Honda rental karts of two hundred and seventy cubic centimetres from the age of sixteen, and Rotax Max racing karts of one hundred and twenty-five cubic centimetres and twenty-eight horsepower from eighteen.

The site is not limited to karting: across its forty hectares, it also offers jet skiing, quad bikes and paintball, which makes it a leisure destination in its own right. The track runs from April to September, and more briefly in March and October until sunset. It is a serious address, as much for the driver after a lap time as for the group outing.

Pachfurth lies in Lower Austria, near Bruck an der Leitha, at the gateway to the Donau-Auen national park and its floodplains along the Danube. Close by, the Roman site of Carnuntum recalls the region's ancient past. The Speedworld adds a dose of open-air motorsport, welcome for an active day east of Vienna. With its FIA-homologated track, its Rotax racing karts and its side activities across forty hectares, the Speedworld plays in the big league, and its nearness to Vienna makes it one of the favourite destinations of the capital's drivers, whether they come to drive an afternoon or run a real club race.
