Turbokart Amateur Sports Association

Halfway between Milan and Bologna, in the Cattagnina-Palazzina industrial zone in the province of Piacenza in Emilia-Romagna, the Turbokart ASD (an Amateur Sports Association) runs indoor and outdoor tracks a short drive from the Piacenza historic centre. The site is in the peripheral industrial zone of the city, easily reached from the motorway network (A1 Milan-Bologna, A21 Turin-Brescia). It is regularly used by Piacenza locals for end-of-day sessions, by ASD members for club sessions, by families and by enthusiasts looking for a dual format (indoor plus outdoor).

The dual indoor/outdoor format offers layouts suited to a range of skill levels, letting drivers choose according to the weather. Several engine sizes are available, from beginner karts for kids to punchier versions for regulars used to timed sessions. Outdoor conditions follow the Po Valley continental climate: drier and faster in summer, more demanding on rainy autumn days or in winter Po Valley fog. The site welcomes family taster sessions, kids' birthday parties, ASD club sessions, stag and hen groups and corporate events.

The Cattagnina-Palazzina area is ten minutes from central Piacenza, one hour from Parma and an hour and a quarter from Milan. The region offers plenty more to see: the historic centre of Piacenza and the famous Piazza Cavalli with the Cavalli del Mochi (17th-century Baroque equestrian statues by Francesco Mochi), the Palazzo Gotico (one of the oldest public palaces in Italy, 1281), the Cathedral of Piacenza, the Galleria Ricci Oddi, the Castles of the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza (Grazzano Visconti, Castell'Arquato among the Borghi più Belli d'Italia, Bobbio and the Ponte Gobbo), Parma's historic heritage (the Romanesque Baptistery, the Palazzo della Pilotta, the Galleria Nazionale), or a side trip to Cremona UNESCO violin-making. Karting at Turbokart is an option for Piacenza locals and ASD club members.
