West Coast Karting

West Coast Karting runs an indoor karting centre at the Solway Trading Centre (CA15 8NF) in Maryport, Cumbria. Open since 1992, the venue bills itself as the largest and longest indoor karting track in the north-west of England, open to drivers aged 8 to 80.

Maryport is a former coal and iron port on the Cumbrian coast, on the Irish Sea. The Senhouse Roman Museum holds the oldest privately assembled collection of Roman inscriptions and altars in Britain, from the fort of Alauna that extended the Hadrian's Wall defences along the coast. The Lake District National Park, England's largest national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, spreads to the east with Skiddaw and Bassenthwaite Lake.
