Emslandring Dankern - KartBahn am Dankernsee

Emslandring Dankern runs its open-air track at Am Flugplatz 1 (49733 Haren), inside the Schloss Dankern holiday park in the Emsland. The main layout measures 600 m and 6 to 7 m wide, backed by a 450 m CrossBahn, and the venue bills itself as the largest kart and cross track in Europe with more than 100 vehicles. It should not be confused with BattleKart Dankern, a separate gaming concept set up in the same park.

The fleet covers around ten categories: MiniKarts, rental karts, RennKarts up to 60-65 km/h, quads and CrossKarts. Karts with full hand controls welcome wheelchair drivers. Children drive on their own from age 6, while younger ones ride in a DoubleKart with an adult. The season runs from the start of the Easter holidays to the end of the autumn holidays, daily from 10am to 6pm, with access possible after 6pm on prior request. On the programme: school groups with a dedicated deal (ten paid, one free), corporate events and team-building, catering in a function room and a full Grand Prix from qualifying to podium. Haren lies in the Emsland, 25 km south of Meppen and 90 km west of Bremen, close to the Dutch border. The Schloss Dankern and its holiday park form one of Germany's largest family resorts, set around the Dankernsee lake and its beach. Papenburg, 25 km to the north-west, is home to the Meyer Werft shipyard, where some of the world's biggest cruise liners are built. Lingen is 25 km to the south, the Netherlands and Groningen about an hour away, while Bremen and Osnabrück, both shaped by the UNESCO-linked Peace of Westphalia, are within 90 km.
