JumbO Kart
About
JumbO Kart occupies a motorsport hall at 1 Alleestraße, in Oberhausen, at the centre of the Ruhr, a short walk from the Centro. The site combines two indoor tracks for a total of 980 metres, one of the longest covered layouts in the region. Honda GX200 four-stroke petrol karts of 6.5 hp make up the standard fleet, up to 60 km/h, while 9 hp karts are used for the Trophy, Super Cup and Junior Cup competition sessions.
On site, Smoky's Grill handles the catering with a spectator area overlooking the pits, and rooms welcome groups and corporate seminars. Several deals run side by side: a children's Boost Ticket from 16 euros, three-session bundles between 43 and 59 euros, and competition packages between 39 and 79 euros per person. Access is from age 8 and 1.40 m. The track opens Monday to Thursday 4pm to 10pm, Friday 4pm to 11pm, Saturday 11am to midnight and Sunday 11am to 10pm.
Oberhausen lies at the heart of the Ruhr basin, 10 km from Mülheim, 15 km from Essen and 25 km from Düsseldorf. The Neue Mitte district brings together the Centro, one of Europe's largest shopping centres, the Sea Life and the Gasometer converted into an exhibition hall. Düsseldorf's Königsallee is half an hour away by S-Bahn, the Bottrop Tetraeder raises its panoramic walkway 15 km away, and the Zollverein mining complex in Essen, a UNESCO World Heritage site, tells the story of the Ruhr's industrial golden age. Cologne and its cathedral are 50 km to the south.
