Kartbahn Löschen

Kartbahn Löschen runs a 1,000-metre outdoor racing-asphalt layout, inside the Freizeitpark Löschen, in Drebkau, in Lower Lusatia. The park combines karting and paintball on the same site. The fleet covers several levels: introductory karts for discovery, 18 hp karts for experienced adults and a two-seat kart that lets children from age 4 ride as a passenger with an adult. From age 8, children drive on their own on the adapted Fun-Kid karts.

On rates, expect from 10 euros for 10 minutes on the introductory models to 20 euros for 10 minutes on the 18 hp adult karts. The neighbouring paintball ground makes it possible to build combined formulas for birthdays, corporate seminars and private parties, with extended hours on request for groups. Drebkau lies in Lower Lusatia, a historic bilingual region of the Sorbian people, 20 km south of Cottbus, 70 km south-east of Berlin and 50 km north-east of Dresden. Cottbus lines up the Branitz park and palace, a landscape work by Prince Pückler with its earth pyramids. The Spreewald, a UNESCO-listed biosphere reserve, unrolls 40 km to the north its canals explored by boat, and the Muskau park, a UNESCO-listed cross-border German-Polish landscape garden, is 50 km to the east. Senftenberg and its converted mine lake, and Bautzen, a historic Sorbian town, round out the region to the south.
