Kartfun Neuastenberg
About
Kartfun Neuastenberg runs a 550-metre covered track in a 5,000 m² hall, heated and air-conditioned, at Winterberger Straße 2, in Winterberg-Neuastenberg, in the Sauerland. The racing asphalt and the Flixi-Track safety barriers aim for a feel close to Formula 1, and the site is Winterberg's second karting offer, separate from the Niedersfeld outdoor track.
The fleet is aimed at families, with individual access from 1.40 m and tandem karts for the smaller ones accompanied by an adult; the venue organises birthdays, company parties and stag parties. The track opens Monday to Friday 1pm to 10pm, at weekends and on public holidays 11am to 10pm. The detail of the rates is confirmed on the Preisliste page of the website or on +49 2981 908702.
Winterberg and Neuastenberg lie in the Hochsauerlandkreis, at the heart of the Rothaargebirge, 60 km south-east of Dortmund, 80 km west of Kassel and 80 km north-east of Cologne. Winterberg is home to the oldest Olympic bobsleigh track still in use in the world, opened in 1936 and still used for world championships, as well as a large ski area and a rail toboggan. Willingen and its Mühlenkopf ski jump, a World Cup stage, are 20 km to the north-west, the Kahler Asten, the Sauerland's highest point at 841 m, overlooks the region, and the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park, with its UNESCO-listed beech forests, opens to the east.
