ABR Kart-Center Schlotheim

ABR Kart-Center runs an indoor karting venue in Schlotheim, in the municipality of Nottertal-Heilinger Höhen, in Thuringia. Known as ABR Kart-Center Schlotheim, the venue runs a 382-metre covered track at 1 Hessisch-Lichtenauer-Straße, open year-round whatever the weather.

Indoor 382-metre karting track. The fleet ranges from children's karts from age 8 to adult karts and two-seaters, where a child can ride from age 4 with a parent. Digital timing with results displayed. A food and refreshment area overlooks the track, rounded out by air hockey, billiards and darts. Nottertal-Heilinger Höhen lies in the Thuringian Basin, north of the wooded Hainich range, whose primeval beech forest has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011 and can be explored from the Baumkronenpfad treetop walkway. Mühlhausen, a former free imperial town with eleven churches, lies 25 km north. Erfurt, the state capital, is 30 km south-east, with its Gothic Mariendom cathedral and the Krämerbrücke, a medieval bridge lined with inhabited houses. Eisenach and the Wartburg, a UNESCO-listed castle where Luther translated the Bible and where Bach was born, lie 50 km south-west. Bad Langensalza and its spa are nearby. The Harz range spreads 80 km north.
