Elektro-Kart-Center Obergebra

Elektro-Kart-Center Obergebra runs an electric indoor karting track at Schachtstraße 23 (99752 Bleicherode, Obergebra district), in the Thuringian Eichsfeld. Over some 1,500 m², the site combines a track of around 250 m with a lasergame arena.

The electric karts reach up to 60 km/h, and the track takes up to four vehicles at once. Children drive from age 7 and a height of 1.30 m. For birthdays, a package brings together two sessions of 15 laps and 30 minutes of lasergame for 40 euros per person. The track opens Friday from 2pm to 6pm, Saturday from 10am to 8pm and Sunday from 10am to 6pm; closed Monday and Tuesday, it also opens outside these hours from six drivers. Bleicherode-Obergebra lies in the Thuringian Eichsfeld, 35 km west of Nordhausen and 75 km north of Erfurt. Nearby stands the Kyffhäuser Denkmal, a monument to Emperor Frederick Barbarossa and the largest equestrian monument in Germany. The Harz national park, with the Brocken summit at 1141 m and the Walpurgis Night legend, and the UNESCO-listed Rammelsberg mine lie to the north; Bad Sachsa and Bad Lauterberg are spa towns of the southern Harz. Erfurt and its Gothic Mariendom are 75 km to the south, the Wartburg near Eisenach, UNESCO-listed around Luther and Bach, 100 km to the south-west, and Göttingen and its university 65 km to the west.
