Beule Indoor Kart

Beule Indoor Kart is part of the leisure complex at the Bernsteinsee, in Sassenburg (38524), in the Gifhorn district of Lower Saxony. The track belongs to a wider destination built around the lake, in the north-east of the state, near Wolfsburg, and rounds out the tourist offer of the Südheide.

The venue has two tracks, presented on the website as Bahn 1 and Bahn 2; no technical details are published there. The track opens Tuesday to Saturday from 2.30pm to 10pm, Sunday and public holidays from 10am to 10pm, closed Monday except on public holidays. Rates, the kart types available, exact track lengths and packages for groups, birthdays or schools are given directly by the operator, through the price list on the website or by phone. Sassenburg-Bernsteinsee is in the Südheide nature park, 12 km east of Gifhorn and 25 km north-east of Wolfsburg, amid the landscape of the Lüneburg Heath. The Bernsteinsee is itself a bathing and leisure lake, with beaches and sailing, and the Südheide nature park turns purple with flowering heather in August and September. Wolfsburg, with the Volkswagen Autostadt and the Phaeno science museum designed by Zaha Hadid, is 25 km to the south-west. Gifhorn is home to an international open-air mill museum. Hannover and its baroque Herrenhausen Gardens are 75 km away, and the old Hanseatic salt town of Lüneburg around 100 km to the north.
