In Spata, on the Mesogeia plain east of Athens and right next to the airport, the SFi Karting Circuit, or Speed Force International, lays out one of the great karting tracks in Greece: one thousand three hundred and forty metres of open-air layout, eight to ten metres wide. The circuit meets international standards, with karts for children, adults and seasoned drivers, including racing chassis fitted with Rotax engines.
Helmets, suits and safety gear are provided, on a track built for performance as much as for leisure. It opens from Tuesday to Friday from two to nine at night, and at the weekend from ten in the morning, while staying closed on Mondays. With its length and width, the layout leaves time to work on your lines and aim for the best time.
Spata sits at the centre of the Mesogeia, the plain of eastern Attica, right beside the international airport of Athens, which makes it one of the easiest tracks to reach in the country. The capital and its Acropolis are half an hour's drive away. The SFi Karting Circuit holds a prime spot for the region's drivers, on a recent circuit with competition dimensions. Recently built to competition dimensions, the circuit provides helmets and suits and welcomes children as readily as seasoned drivers, its immediate nearness to the airport making it a handy stop for anyone passing through Athens or staying in the east of the city.
