In Koropi, on the Mesogeia plain east of Athens, Speed Force lays out an open-air karting track of seven hundred and eighty metres, eight to ten metres wide. The fleet, recent and made by TBKART, relies on Honda engines of two hundred and seventy and four hundred cubic centimetres putting out around fifteen horsepower, alongside two-stroke karts of one hundred and twenty-five cubic centimetres and models for the youngest. You drive from the age of five, from the baby kart to the fastest chassis.
It is a genuine motorsport venue, with kart rental, event hosting, a café and an online parts shop. The track opens from Tuesday to Sunday, in the afternoon and evening depending on the season, and stays closed on Mondays. Its width and length leave room to work on your lines and try overtakes, in a setting geared as much towards leisure as towards performance.
Koropi is one of the towns of the Mesogeia, the great plain of eastern Attica set between Mount Hymettus and the coast, a short way from the Athens airport. The road runs on towards Cape Sounion and its temple of Poseidon, at the tip of Attica. Speed Force holds a reference spot for the drivers of the Athens region, on one of the most complete circuits in the east of the capital. The venue is also preparing a longer new track in Spata, a sign of a growing brand, but it is in Koropi that the running circuit stands, easy to reach from all of eastern Attica.
